Student XYZ Business 101 Professor XYZ Field report I was ecstatic when my team was assigned to do field report on Marshall Corporation . My team members were Ann , Debra and myself . We were excited as this would not only give as the opportunity to learn practically about corporate matters but also to advice the company 's management on where to improve . Marshall Corporation is a giant software corporation that has offices I over sixty countries . The company is an industry leader in banking software solutions with over 20000 employees

countrywide . However the company has been experiencing poor communication amongst its employees recently and the ordinary staff doesn 't feel that the management takes their views on any issue seriously . The top managers are also resistant to change and any idea presented to the top management by the junior staff is treated with suspicion . As a result therefore the company has started realizing low productivity among its workers and the profits are dwindling . Its industry position is in jeopardy and it has lost the culture of innovation that it was associated .Infact how can any company survive in Silicon Valley without embracing change and innovation . Of course change is disruptive in a way but it is also mandatory . The company is headquartered in Silicon valley , California . Being a tech company it offered as a real opportunity to interact with geeks and technology managers alike . Our role was to assess the company 's reaction towards change , how it treats its talented employees...
