Summary of previous discussion

Enterprise- is ERP 's true ambition because it attempts to integrate all departments and functions across a company onto a single computer system that can serve all those different department 's particular needs . That is a tall , building a single software program that serves the needs of people in finance as well as it does the people in human resources and

in the warehouse . Each of those departments typically has it 's own computer system optimized for the particular ways that the department does its work . But ERP combines all together into a single integrated software program that runs of a single database so that the various departments can more easily share information and communicate with each other . That integrated approach can have tremendous payback if implementation is seriously considered

Therefore , let me summarise the advantages of implementing an enterprise system before i put forth my views on the various ways that we could improve upon our current and future business needs

The ability to easily share data across various departments in an organization

Improved efficiency and productivity levels

Better tracking and forecasting

Lower costs

Improved customer service
