Abstract

While Renaissance was taking a trip all over Europe , there are several new knowledge and different arts which reigned as part of the culture of many Europeans . In this , five important part or somehow valued structure and painting was identified as part of the Medieval Europe and the Renaissance . Thus , this will show what it is that Early Europe had and what are the things that they should be proud of . The cathedrals

and several monasteries around Europe shows that religion was indeed part of the highest state at that time and painter like Leonardo da Vinci was indeed one of the most celebrated , appreciated and very talented painter during the Renaissance

The Age of Exploration : Discovering the other side of the West

The real reason of the Exploration is to get spices from Asia . Getting spices was hard during those times and since the only route going to Asia is often closed , European rulers started to pay for voyages in to find a route that is easier to travel with and soon , these voyages seems to discover not just spices but lands that will soon be conquered

The age of exploaration was marked by Christopher Columbus ' journey and discovering America in 1492 and on that time he was serving in Spain . He established Spanish settelement in the Americas and he continued his voyage (Encarta , 2008

During these years , many people from the western part of the globe explored all over the world thus , it became the start of the age of exploration . At the same time , this exploration also gave way to colonization since the people who goes on voyage leaves a settlement in the place where they stopped and soon they colonize or invade these countries

Columbus ' exploration to the Americas gave way to Spain 's capture of the country thus , a part of America became their colony . Several conquests happened headed by several generals and the most memorable among the conquests is the colonization of the Aztec Empire

The Aztec Empire in the southern area of the continent is a very rich domain which Hernan Cortes conquered in 1521 . This empire was the largest and a very powerful kingdom and Hernan Cortes became victorious and captured this empire . Aside from the Aztec , the also conquered the Maya , a mexican nation and won again in the battle (Encarta , 2008

Spain indeed became successful in colonizing the North America but soon , a territorial dispute happened and Spain 's defeat gave way to England to have colonies although the former still controls majority of the new world
