FEMINISM AND BUSINESS

Feminism is generally used to describe the policy , practice or advocacy of political , economic and social equality forward . Women have been described and deprived on some basic rights for a long time , but over the years , that has changed because of the rising of so many women who have prospered in their various fields of human endeavor . In some parts of the world women are limited and reduced to mere house wife and there are deprived to utilize their potential and to be of economic and social relevance to

the society at large . In some parts women are thought to be mere house wife and nothing else . And that women in various d of work such as business , politics and other wise men have came to agree that women can do better than been mere house wife . And off course women have prove that there can be of relevance to the society at large (Foster ,1987 ,p .47 ) rather than been limited by the four walls of their matrimonial home feminist therefore campaign and fight for equality of women in a mans world . Feminists that have become political activists campaign for the rights of women with regards to equality right to integrity and autonomy on issues such as reproductive rights to contraception and quality prenatal care , protection against violence and sexual harassment , rape , for work place rights , equal salary pay maternity leave and otherwise . And with the drastic expansion of business in the world women have proved to have contributed at list 40 as so many of them have become successful in business in the world (Dickson ,1984p .68 ' A statistics was taken in the US about the three most successful business entrepreneurs and out of three of them one of was a women another name is Mary Kay ash ' she owns the biggest cosmetic company in the world today (Mattew , 1990 ,

.87 . A woman has contributed so much in the world today . In some other parts of the world where women are reduced to were house wife . People from those parts are loosing a lot in terms of development , because by keeping their wife 's at home there are also limiting them from utilizing the potentials that they carry within them , in some parts of the world women are not even allowed to go to school . And by that there can be a better people . They have been limited to be of economic and social value to their society . Women also face other problems like rape , incest and prostitution and this is the reason why many feminists regard and consider feminism as a grass-roots movement that seeks to remove the limitation based on social class , religion race and culture .
