Name Instructor Course / Subject Date Feeling and Thinking Part I : Theories of Emotion Emotions are a variety of intense state of feelings as well as an act Emotions that an individual feels or experiences are diverse depending on the situation he / she faces . The theories of emotions are divided into three groups , namely Neurobiological , Cognitive and Somatic theories . These theories are then subdivided into another group . Under Neurobiological is the theory that the prefrontal cortex is responsible for a positive reaction towards something when it is being triggered

br Under Cognitive theory are Two- factor theory which tells that two individuals can have different reactions especially when being exposed to a certain emotion Affective events theory states that what a person has gone through may it be good or bad greatly contributes to his /her emotions Perceptual theory which states that through physical connection , the mind perceives the certain emotions one should be possessing and Cannon- Bard theory states that it is the emotion of an individual which triggers one 's behavior . Under the Somatic theory includes the James- Lange Theory , which states and argues that it is the behavior or attitude of a person which explains or depicts the emotions an individual has
I think the most valid among all these theories is the Affective events theory . It is the most valid because I think it is the most logical and most practical explanation of having emotions . Definitely , when one has undergone or experienced something that his or her emotions...
