Critiquing Evidence Based Article Introduction This is a critique of the article cited as Brueckner , T , Schumacher M , and Schneider , N (2009 . Palliative care for older people - Exploring the views of doctors and nurses from different fields in Germany . BMC Palliative Care , 8 :7 . This article will be critiqued in a stepwise fashion based on a set of questions . In this review , these questions will be answered in to explore the usefulness of the findings of evidence in practice The main point that the authors aim to highlight is that

provision of appropriate palliative care for older people is a major healthcare problem across health systems all over the world , and it being a neglected area , very few researches have been done in this area . The authors focus on the German healthcare system in to find whether the attitudes of the health professionals in relation to their understanding about the process and implementation of palliative care for older patients are valid determinants of care . The authors ' goal is to seek for evidence regarding the attitudes of different classes of health professionals and how they may influence palliative care of the older individuals within a health system , so during implementation of care , any changes made in those attitudes may influence better and more effective palliative care to these older people . The intended audience of this article is the health care professionals of different categories who may be involved in palliative care of older individuals .
