The Evaluation Approach

An English class in Taiwan usually consists of 30-40 students under the ages 10-12 . The regular curriculum offered in the learning institutions within the said country is based upon what the government has actually provided . To be able to complete the curriculum , there are several text books used to be able to understand the entire curriculum . There are also a series of examinations that are primarily designed to help the students

and the institutional educators as well to evaluate the performance that they are putting forth for their learning . The exams are particularly scheduled between 6-7 weeks for at least three times every school year . Exam days are held in three half-day schedule . Each school exam schedule is based on the textbook that has been used during the 6-7 week span of learning . The exams are not only utilized to focus on the learning improvements of the students alone . They are indeed also used to scale the teaching capabilities of the teachers . Primarily , through the average scoring of the students during examination schedules , the teacher 's performance level is also measured . The results of the learning progress of their students particularly appear as the mirror of the performance that they are applying for their students ' advancement .
