It is difficult to deny that the ultimate goal of ethics is to promote welfare of others . Given the consequences which our actions may produce on others ' lives and experiences , we are bound to adhere to a whole set of ethical standards and responsibilities , to ensure that we are able to maintain high quality relationships with others . In professional environments , the role of ethics expands beyond the limits of individual performance , and

requires integrating sound ethical principles with the basic professional activities fulfilling these tasks is impossible without developing and implementing codes of ethics , which would work to promote healthy ethical environment at workplace
