Plagiarism is considered an intellectual theft1 and is a serious form of cheating In journalism , plagiarism could occur when a journalist or writer would lay claim to a piece of information that somebody else has written about . Once caught , offenders face disciplinary actions or termination from work . In the academe , those

that are caught plagiarizing will face academic censure
The University of New South Wales enumerates on its online site the common form of plagiarism that students commit : submitting an assignment that was taken from an online source and passing it off as your own submitting assignments that were bought , stolen or borrowed passing book sections or parts of an article as your own assignment submitting a coursework that 's comprised of materials that were copied from an electronic source presenting words that were someone else 's and pretending they 're your own using someone else 's ideas or expressions without properly citing and passing a coursework that is largely made up of other people 's material
In any type of work or business , maintaining integrity or honesty is essential . If you have that quality you will be able to make people trust and do business with you . Trust is an integral part of an ly society . By being a person of integrity , people would respect and reciprocate that characteristic , which in turn would prevent conflicts and misunderstandings . In maintaining the correct set of core values by refusing to lie , cheat , or deceive , you will be able to provide a good example to the next generation
