However , the basic principles of ethics , concentrate on providing benefits to the stakeholders in acceptable ways , and giving justice and equal rights to the employees of the organization (Kreitner Kinicki , 2004 . Our objective of this article is focus the impact of internal and external factors that affect the management issues at McDonalds . There are three basic factors that are associated to McDonalds . The factors are Globalization , Diversity and Ethics . As most of the big organizations are expanding globally , McDonalds has also expanded worldwide in more than 125 countries . However , managing and satisfying the customers of different countries is not an easy job . For instance there are some countries , such as India , where meat is prohibited . So McDonalds need to cater such issues and bring alternative food items which suits to the people of that country (RMHC , 2005
Ever since McDonalds has established , it has considered diversity as its core business belief . As McDonalds is expanded globally , it has its restaurant in almost all the countries , each having its own culture traditions and religion . What McDonald do is that they encourage the local suppliers and chefs of that particular country , those who can understand and provide the people with their traditional tastes . By taking diversity seriously , McDonalds has been able to win various diversity awards . The McDonalds give its employees power of delegation and empowerment . Each employee is given certain level of making decisions power . Those employees who are unsatisfied , are given the authority to share their complains and opinions . The McDonalds take ethical issues , such as environment protection very seriously . They emphases on recycling of waste materials and resource reduction . The organizational structure believes in giving equal opportunity to every employee , regardless of gender , racism and physical disabilities . The have evaluate their employees regularly and make sure they are not involved in immoral and unethical activities (Prince 1991
If we look at the factors that impact the McDonalds management , we get to know that McDonald practices all the four managerial functions . They work according to their plans , which are according to the ethics . They are quite successful in organizing and maintaining their SOPs and norms all over the world , according to the different cultures . Similarly , they lead and control their employees efficiently , providing them with job satisfaction and friendly environment
