Ethics Larger Than Law

The legalization of abortion implies a violation to the ethical and moral standards established by the society (Burke , 1970 . Abortion literally means taking a life of an unborn child . Why does it have happen ? Maybe this unborn child is unwanted or the child has foreseen to be defective based on the doctor 's examination or perhaps the mother cannot promise a good life to the child . For some countries , they look unto abortion as

a positive act and is classified as a medical practice These countries might be over-populated or on an anti-natal state Abortion is sometime considered as an alternative to contraception hence for earlier stages or pregnancy . Looking at it in a social manner abortion is ethical and immoral because it is a denial a person to experience life and also a breach to the value of life . The act is immoral because of the people 's faith in religion , which the action is forbidden by the god

The laws are set of standards created by people to protect each other from violating other people 's rights . Based from the definition , can abortion be lawful ? Yes , to the fact that , abortion is a medical practice that needs to be offered to any patient who is in need for it No , because it is homicide . If abortion is to be legalized then it is like legalizing the fact to kill other people . One needs not to be a religious believer , to tell if abortion is ethical , denial of human life is not acceptable . For this issue , ethics might weigh heavier than law because it is affirmative to the human life and its value to us Legalization of abortion might push through because there is a need for it hence it does not tell us that it will be morally accepted
