Healthcare is concerned and mainly focused on the betterment and the preservation of the life of an individual who has a certain medical condition or ailment preventing him or her from being healthy . Because it is concern with humanity and life , most of the aspects in healthcare are greatly attributed to ethics and morality thus rendering this field to be very controversial and debatable

Many aspects of healthcare , especially its field of administration for people who have dementing illnesses , are greatly regarded as a question of morality

This idea is mainly because of certain cases where the healthcare decision regarding the condition of the patient becomes contradictory to the patient 's will and /or the medical decision of the physician involved . Thus , the medical procedures often become morally questionable because of the conflicting desires and the substantiality of the consent of the people concerned in the situation

Take for example a case where a patient who has Alzheimer 's disease needs to undergo a surgical operation concerning her healthcare process with emphasis on her survival . However though , she extremely made her consent that she does not want to have a surgical operation of any sort About her family and relatives , they expressed consent supporting that of the patient even though they know that that operation is medically substantiality to the condition and survival of the patient

Considering her relatives and families , it is a fact that they have capabilities for best judgment however though there is the prevailing factor of intent with consideration to the argument of financial benefit from the death of the patient . Thus , it can be regarded that their opinion on the matter is particularly tarnished with personal intention over the best interest for the life of the patient . From all the arguments , it appears that the party with the best interest on the condition of the patient will be the medical personnel thus it can be concluded that their consent will be best followed on the case

The mentioned case is very much ethically debated due tot eh conflicting consent and interest on the medical decision thus to address certain medical instances with the same nature , the medical committee formulated the Belmont Report .
