In the first case , Joseph Needier a CEO of a company decided to modify the real results

of their company 's income in to prevent any adverse effects in their stock price as well as the reactions coming from their shareholders . The adjustments that he made was unethical because regardless of how good his intentions maybe what he did is still an example of dishonesty . Moreover , telling the truth could have been more beneficial because the caused of the problem could be immediately address before the it becomes even worse . Besides , the shareholders deserved to know what the real situation is because it involves their own investment an welfare

The second case deals with Mueller Homes who have adjusted the over cost in the building of the modest priced homes to the high end homes because modest priced homes have already been purchased and the customers could no longer shoulder the over charges . The decision that was made by the company is unjust because their incorrect adjustment to the book would result for other people to shoulder the cost of a house that is more than what it is really worth for . Even though it is a given that those who would buy the high end houses are more economically well off , it is still not fair to let them handle the over cost of the other houses . Furthermore , the company could still be able to think of other solutions to address this problem without taking advantage of other people

The third case is about Parsing Electronics accountant who have concerns in the stability of investing in the country of Slovenia . When he directed his concerns to the head of the project Gustave Franken he was not really concerned about it saying that Slovenia is a good place to invest but the accountant later finds out that the family of Franken 's wife is involved in the government of the country and they are the owners of the land the company would purchased

The best thing to do in this kind of situation is for the accountant to go directly to Franken 's superior and notify him of the concerns regarding how stable the project really is as well as the Franken 's connection to the land . He should not keep silent because Franken might not be giving their company an objective assessment of the project because he might have personal interest regarding it due to his relation to the owners of the land
