The geometric increase in cheating in schools is alarming school boys and college students are now looking for shortcuts to success . Business leaders are not laying credible examples for the younger generations as they falsify financial information to lure gullible and innocent investors into businesses at the verge of collapse . Politicians are not helping matters , as financial scandals and misappropriation of public funds begin to rear their ugly heads in the league of American politics These perpetually send out a message : there are shortcuts to success

find it . Use it . But this is not the best it is not good at all

It is noteworthy that as the Superpower nation in the world with the largest contribution to the economy of most developing countries , it becomes a great responsibility of every citizen to demonstrate high level of ethics in business and family relations . Ethics is the fulcrum upon which credible lasting private and public character is built I mean good ethics . However , the current wave of moral decadence shown by increasing wave of corporate and political scandals , divorces , youth violence , racial discrimination , homosexuality etc do not portray the nation in good `ethical light ' by other nations of the world

The whole world is moving at a pace that is different for that of the US in the realm of ethical relations within and outside their domain at this pace , the rest of the world is at a point where the balance between living and freedom becomes important . this means that a situation where your level of freedom should be matched by your ability to withstand its impact . Therefore , there is still an emphasis on freedom , liberty and licentiousness prevalent as the dominant American Culture . This necessitates the importance for striking an ethical balance between the Superpower and the rest of its `domain ' as this would also be another major bridge of influence in the midst of the Middle East cries , of which the US is a major stakeholder

The nature of civilization prevalent in America has created enormous space for freedom , to live like a utilitarian . This freedom has penetrated every fiber of the nation . This has since set into motion questions about the essence of human sexuality , abortion , euthanasia and infanticide

It is therefore important for us to consider , as Americans , what would be done to achieve ethical balance with the rest of the world

In essence , the issues to address include those of sexual liberty with respect to homosexuality and lesbianism , abortion [pro-choice and anti-choice] , euthanasia and infanticide etc . It is important to note these things apply to human choice and the path they have chosen to lead their lives . It would therefore be difficult unless there is enough information underscoring the importance of ethical balance with the rest of the world . This implies that awareness of the existence of such concept would form the bedrock upon which all other subsequent changes would be laid
