While summer is the time for a vacation , autumn ushers the Halloween season , and spring signals the right time to start over , winter represents the most anticipated time of year - the commencement of the holidays . Winter is the coldest of all seasons . This is the time where we put on our downy and comfy winter boots , snug-fit sweaters , light yet warming coats , scarves , mittens , and gloves when we

go out . We dive into skating rinks , put on our skis , ride on snowmobiles , build a snowman , or make snowballs to hit each other with . Inside our houses , we turn on our heaters or light our fireplaces , we snuggle on the couch , read a book while drinking hot chocolate . This is our ideal winter

Walking amidst the cold chills of the air seems to says goodbye to the winds and falling leaves of autumn to usher the coming of the chilly air , the falling of snow flakes , the build up of snow in our front yards , the gift and the spirit of the Christmas season , and eventually to the welcoming of spring where everything seems to stir back to life from the cold . Everything and everywhere around us is spotless white with the snow covering the roofs of houses and cars , the top of mailboxes and news stands .
