Environmental Science Why is environmentalism a growing factor in international relations In the broad aspect on international relations and concept , numerous significant ideas are being debated and delegated in various fields and concerns in relation to the aim of developing and improving the condition of life of the humanity . These fields include global economics , freedom in the political concern , peace in the social state health conditions , and others , which are relevant to the global human community . In the present though , another growing concern in the international relations is environmentalism in which

the collective human efforts and concern are being focused on preserving and developing the natural balance in the environment to maintain its life-sustaining condition
There are numerous factors which contribute to the inclusion factor of environmentalism in the international relation segregated under three major aspects namely economics , ecosystem , and humanitarian concern . The first is mainly due to the evident relationship between economics and the environment wherein the former relies on the sustainability condition of the planet . On this concern , the allocation of the natural resources significant to the continuity of human life is now being affected by environmental problems . As affected by this condition people are now becoming concerned and interested in taking part in the global action of channeling efforts towards the betterment of the natural environment . The second is mainly the enlightenment of the people towards the influence of the changes in the environment condition in the lives of the people . This includes adverse climate and weather patterns , violent storms and typhoons due to the imbalances in the ecosystem , and the effects of these conditions in the health and lifestyle of the society . The third factor contributing to the rise of environmentalism is the humanitarian concern , which is mainly projected towards the future . On this concern , people are now becoming aware of the adverse effects of the present environmental problems towards the future generations due to which , the present global community 's interest towards alleviating these problems were rekindled . Indeed , people are now believing that through their efforts of making a change in the present , they can effectively change the future for the better and the benefits of their children . Indeed , with these concepts and concerns the present global community now perceives the environment as an important matter thus , including the philosophy of environmentalism in their major international aims
