The disturbance of the balance of the ecosystem can be naturally made or man made . Naturally made disturbances is not

a threat to the ecosystem They are naturally occurring phenomena such as typhoon , earthquakes etc . The other one is the anthropogenic events or the man made disturbances which are a major threat to the ecosystems in the earth For example , a pond ecosystem is a small specific ecosystem that is commonly used in an experiment in for scientists to predict the effects of man made activities to the whole ecosystem . Disturbances made in a pond can destroy the ecosystem itself . We can say that an ecosystem is destroyed if one cannot restore it . The damages to the ecosystem are sometimes irreversible and cannot be restored . Another consequence is that living things that are naturally living in that ecosystem maybe forever gone . That means that when one tries to restore the ecosystem he or she is not restoring it but he or she is only creating another ecosystem . The abiotic characteristics of an ecosystem will be gone...
