In this essay I would have to say that I do agree with Vickers that in today 's realm of academics sports and music I do believe that most of the kids are pressured by their parents to excel and be the best that they can . Most parents believe that with the proper motivation

for the kids , their kids can excel . As one parent points out that my kids graduated with a degree in medicine , played soccer for a year before getting back at medical school . And she succeeded . Owing to the fact as a parent she was able to motivate her child into doing something that she can be proud of later on . What more could she ask for

I believe most of these are true in America today . With almost 41 million kids involved in sports today and the numbers are expected to increase . Within the next few years and with the parents on the sidelines to encourage and motivate their kids , I think the numbers will double within the next few years . It 's a simple case of motivating your kids to excel and to succeed . By being there physically on the sidelines you as a parent do provide all the needed support that the child needs In the aspect of academics , it cannot be denied also that parents are doing their share in motivating or if not pressuring their children to be at their best to excel academically . Of course parents would love to see and hear that their child has finished a degree . It 's a great feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment as parent to see your kids with bright futures . In music and the arts as well , we can see that a lot of kids are sent to learn ballet play the piano sing dance and everything concerning the arts . The parents also believe that this is also a good opportunity for their kids to succeed in the field less travelled .Also , I believe that most kids today experience pressure than ever before because of an impending threat of a globally competitive arena Take on example of a parent who pushes his /her child to excel in academics . You may think with all the new technology now the kids should be able to be o their own with free information on the internet on almost about everything . Some parents still resort to the old ways of motivating their children , through proper guidance and motivation
