p May 22 , 2008 Vogels `How I learned to Drive` and Ibsens `A Doll House` In dealing with human nature , disagreements arise from a misunderstanding or a false assumption of both parties involved . Humans being regarded as the highest form among animals created because of the intelligence and wisdom endowed upon them , are expected to use this to form good and better relationships with one another . But to disagree means no acceptance or any concept . So when there are disagreements , arguments arise In our society today , much has already evolved . Much has

already changed such as whether to conform or deviate , to stick to the standards or have it your own way , following rules or disobeying the norms /standards because it destroys your honor and dignity , egoism or altruism individualism or collectivism , sexism , feminism , etc
In focusing on such concepts , there are two excellent classical playwrights who portray human reality in the plays that they right Paula Vogel and Henrick Ibsen . They are certified naturalist and are concentric /authors of the concept of realism . Together , Vogel 's play How I Learned to Drive ' and Ibsen 's A Doll 's House ' have been the talk of the town since the time they came out to society . These two plays were created to portray human acts that had to deal with unique disagreements between the characters . They are other common plays because they have been criticized by many and also have been the talk of the town for the sensitive issues they relay to the audience watching
The two plays show some intriguing ideas apart from the common standards of human society . Vogel 's play How I Learned to Drive ' is a story of a girl named Li 'l Bit who has been intimately related to her Uncle Peck which had a big effect and change on both of their lives . Ibsen 's play A Doll 's House ' is a story of a woman named Nora who was once like a doll being commanded and played by her father and later on by her husband . When she realized her own needs as a woman and as an individual , she came to her senses , left her husband and children , and flew away . Each story was not just that simple . These two stories may be different in a lot of ways but they have some things in common
A Doll 's House is not just simple misunderstanding and separation between Nora and Torvald but there is so much more to it . Let us consider the fact that Nora is a part of the small percentage of all women in the world who highly value their women-ness and not considering themselves as slaves or play dolls of their husbands and men . On the other hand , Torvald and even Nora 's father were really enjoying their dominating power over women particularly with Nora . Upon seeing these blind realities , Nora realized that she is not that kind of woman who her father and husband expect and want...
