Like the other animals in the wildlife , the grizzlies are under protection of law to prevent them from being species has once made the list of the endangered species but has now moved to the status of threatened . According to the National Resources Conservation Service (2006 ) Threatened species are those that are likely to become endangered in the future throughout all or a significant portion of their range . Besides from being exterminated because of human activities , their being one of the lowest reproductive rating mammal contributed to their being threatened . It is very noticeable that human activities such as the use of land for commercial and residential purposes as well as hunting for personal gains are the primary cause of endangerment and imbalance in the ecosystem . As people find ways and means to survive , they overlooked and were unaware that other living things in their environment also need to survive . Thus , government implements laws and policy that will protect non-human living things against extinction , threat and endangerment . For this , the objective is to explore the Endangered Species Act (ESA that address the protection of endangered species , giving importance on the issue on whether it is necessary to remove such species out of the list of the endangered species .
