Nowadays many discussions are being held regarding all the major principles which have to be applied in companies for them to function efficiently . Many scientists agree that different actions have to be taken to make the working environment favourable for the employees Afterall , their performance in the company has a direct influence of the whole company in general . There have been introduced plenty of principles which could assist companies in organizing the most favourable environment for employees . However , different scientists suggest different points of

view on the problem of democratizing the working environment . Some economists argue that it is very important to create a democratic environment in the company and follow principles of empowerment . They state that as long as people in the company are motivated to think creatively , influence their own schedule , provide the monitoring of their own performance and participate in the activities of the company , they have much higher performance . Many economists argue that it is very important to empower employees . They even do not necessarily need to own the company to be empowered . The process of empowering them can take many forms , and the final result is always positive for the performance

At the same , there are some economists to think that the power of performance has been overestimated . In their point of view , this phenomenon is not only positive for the company , and firms need to make sure they monitor all the major negative externalities of empowerment One of the major arguments against empowerment given by these economists is that along with empowerment , a central system of monitoring has to be advanced because decentralization of functions oftentimes leads to decrease in productivity , unless it is being controlled carefully
