Emotions through the use of body language
br Running Head : Emotions Emotions through the use of body language -view point of theology Emotions through the use of body language -view point of theology Introduction When the heart is full , the lips refuse to speak Silence is the sweetest sound on Earth '-Boris Pasternak (--Nobel Prize winning Russian author-- Such feelings can emanate from a literary personality (in fact they are or these feelings can be attributed to a spiritually evolved soul Identical expressions can evoke reactions at varied level with different persons . It depends upon the

level of their spiritual evolution . What you say is not important . How you feel about what you say , actually matters a lot
Descriptive assumptions are beliefs about the way the world is
It is true and has been admitted on all hands that one of the fundamental point of patristic theological gnosiology is that the limited knowability of the divine energies and actions as well as the absolute incomprehensibility of God 's nature do not form a kind of philosophical speculation but indicate an attitude , a personal experience of the revelation (Image ) We can not catch ' God through our emotions . Our good thoughts can condition the mind to some extent . But even with the perfectly conditioned mind , we can not reach God . God can never be attained even when we read hundreds of religious texts argue and counter argue . We can experience God , when the domain of the mind ends . Only after crossing the final frontier of the mind , the threshold of spirituality begins
Evaluative assumptions are beliefs about the way we think the world should be
The eternal conflict is between faith based on reason and reason based on faith . This is the permanent war between the rationalists and the spiritualists . The two contending forces the two opposing forces that do not see eye to eye with each other ! Can God ever be described through words ? Is it possible to utter the unutterable ? The only approach to know him , the ways of his running the world around us and the world beyond us is through the personal experience of his revelation . Prayer and communion with God are not only closely connected , but they are interwoven . To prove this point an analogy is given of ornaments which have no reality apart from gold of which they are made . They constitute one and the same reality . Human being is dominated and illuminated by God . His theological language and emotions are brought to its true essence . Such union with God is described thus : As you go deeper and deeper , you become a mere centre , then not even that , you become mere consciousness . The limited light of the mind , itself derived from God cannot comprehend , the whole , the all-embracing light
.for any understanding of the iconic and symbolic language when speaking about God the individual must transcend his individuality and enter into the catholic consciousness of the Church . Otherwise , he can fall into a rationalization of the Church 's iconic-symbolic language . In this connection something must be added to clarify the great distinction between symbolic language and conceptual language (Image ) The use of icons , symbols , parables and metaphors is just the first step to spiritual progression . In that sense they are fundamental to the scriptural approach to the divine revelation . Prophets speak and make you understand in this language
Potential conflicts of value assumptions
The modern world is shaped by materialistic civilization , deeply impacted by industrial and internet revolutions . It is shaped by the innovations and products of technology . Every society tumbles from crisis to crisis , and the signs of breakdown are visible . Of late scientists are more engrossed in prophesies of doom and disaster . The pages of human history continue to be daubed in bloodshed and violence Everybody thinks about the economic gains and self- aggrandizement self-analysis , and value assumptions have become the things of past The system of Nature , of which man is a part , tends to be self-balancing , self-adjusting self-cleansing .technology recognizes no self-limiting principle- in terms , for instance , of size , speed , or violence (Schumacher , 1977 ,

i ) Individual vs . collective responsibility
This new "more radical form of responsibility " emerges as the result of his critique of the orthodox notion of responsibility . Derrida considers the idea that our responsibility exists in our relation to the other or , rather , every other-- "an infinite number of them ' The "other is defined here as "wholly other "every other is every bit other Responsibility consists in responding to singularities , and thus every possible duty is absolute and non-negotiable . Since we are absolutely responsible to every other there is no way to negotiate conflicts of duty (Goldman
ii . Competition vs . cooperation
Competition is not a positive trait . It destroys relationships and character . Competition is the breeding ground for shame , anxiety suspicion , depression and selfishness . The winner gains unfair advantages , and the loser is neglected by the hero-worshipping society Co-operation provides enjoyment and sharing knowledge
iii . Equality vs . excellence
Intellectual excellence is both the problem and the solution . Attitudes once intellectual accomplishments are accomplished , are important . You are considered as more equal in the society , when you have excelled in any field . You are the owner of two problems now : To maintain the level of excellence ! The fear of being beaten in the race and the related stress become permanent factors related to your life
iv . Tradition vs . innovation
You value tradition means , you live within the closed bs . You follow certain things carefully preserved . But the notion that the tradition has the fixed form is not correct . Tradition allows for assimilation of new ideas , carefully discussed and tested . For example the tradition of Catholic Church , has accepted ideas from Ancient Judaism , thoughts of Plato and Aristotle etc
