In any human society , planning and preparedness to disasters is inevitable this can be attributed to the many risks which man and his environments are susceptible to . Man encounters different disasters like earthquakes , floods , terrorist attacks and disease outbreaks among others which lead to loss of live and immense destruction to property Like any other human society , the state of Virginia is not exempted from these human and natural calamities . Specifically , Virginia has been susceptible

to immense threat of hurricanes , terrorism , floods earthquakes , fires , train wrecks and mine explosions among others . Based on this , these calamities have in the past caused many deaths destruction of property , displacement of people among other deadly evils . Basically , this paper will focus on reviewing the adaptability of the ASIS Emergency plan on solving natural and human disasters in Virginia . In addition , the paper will also review the utilization of risk assessment and incorporation of incident command system in process of disaster management in Virginia (Collins , 2000

In this case , adequate emergency preparedness and planning is very crucial in Virginia in order to reduce the impacts or completely evade the impacts of such calamities .
