We know that physical training is a tool to improve ones health and physical performance , and after any physical activity , muscle recovery is an essential component . Thus any factor that impedes recovery is detrimental to good physical training . Whether physical performance in older athletes is a causal factor in impeded recovery post exercise in older athletes has been an issue incompletely addressed in literature with many studies comparing the results in sedentary persons , and not actual athletes who perform in sporting events like veteran sports etc Therefore , whether a trained older athlete has a slower recovery post exercise is a factor currently addressed incompletely
