Global warming is the release of carbon dioxide by human activities with an aim of enhancing the greenhouse effect . This usually contributes to an increase in the earth 's overall temperature . Analysts have come to realize that greenhouse gases resulting from human activities are the main contributors to global warming . The major gas which comes from the greenhouse is carbon dioxide from fossils fuels which consist of petroleum products , natural gas and coal , therefore there is need to conserve fossil fuels in to reduce carbon dioxide emissions

Carbon dioxide emission is the main cause of global warming in that , as carbon dioxide is emitted it increases the levels of the atmospheric pressure which leads to rising of temperatures around the world that has got far reaching economic implications to farmers around the world Another economic implication of global warming is deforestation which is the cutting down of trees for economic purposes . Scientist says that deforestation contributes to increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide . This results to warmer temperatures that cause harm to humans and the environment (Chichilnisky and Heal . 223

According to economic opportunities in which the energy conservation is associated to , carbon dioxide abatement is almost the same to increasing the price of energy and slowing the economic growth .
