Excessive Use of Force
In the course of the duties of law enforcement personnel , many situations they are called to use a certain amount of force to control the disturbance , making it possible to arrest the perpetrator or simply pacify the parties in a domestic dispute . In the field , police officers have very little time to assess the situation , making split second decisions on whether to use force , and to render what is legal and appropriate amounts of force . Do the police have time to look at their training manuals in looking at what type of force that can be administered ? Can they judge at that moment how much force to apply in a certain situation...
