Towards a Better Learning Process

Dealing with students , whether in the primary , secondary or college level , is never an easy task . It is an individual 's will , devotion or calling to be involved in a teaching duty . Many people would dream to be an educator someday but soon after , some of them will realize that it is not the right job for them because there would be certain features which they lack in doing

the task of a teacher . So what does it takes to become a good educator

Personally , I consider patience , love for the teaching profession and establishing a good relationship with students to be the three main qualities to become an effective educator . Patience is the educator 's capability to stand students who are most likely to be regarded as wayward or disobedient . Presence of these type of students is just but common . As a teacher , we must understand and find the best approach to deal with these types of students . It is not good for an educator to loose his temper in front of the class and yell at the students who seems to cause distractions inside the learning area . I have been into this kind of situation and I choose to stay calm in front of my students . As an educator , I know that some of my students have certain problems in their family or being influence by their peers that is why they act in such manner . What I did is to talk with them after the class not as a teacher but as a friend or adult in which they can confide their problems unto

The second quality that an educator must possess is the love for the teaching profession . Before a person can start in his teaching duty , he must be willing and ready to face the challenges of being an educator It is not enough that he spent couple of years in college in to consider himself as a well-prepared educator . Lack of enthusiasm in a job could cause failure in one 's profession . Having teaching as a profession can be viewed by others as simple . Other people may have the implication that the nature of this job is just merely presenting lessons , having recitations and giving examinations but what they don 't realize is that involving in this type of profession needs some sort of multi-tasking . As an educator , one must develop his qualities of being both a teacher and a secondary parent . He must also be ready to be a guidance counselor (whenever necessary ) and give advice to the students . The third important quality to become an effective educator is establishing a good relationship with the students . Communication with students is the key to achieve this . Though it is important that the distinction between a student and an educator must be set , it is not healthy for a teacher-student relationship...
