Introduction

All countries across the world come across the problem of internal crime and violence apart from international terrorism . Both developing as well as developed countries face these problems drastically . Governments and international agencies such as United Nations have tried to combat such threats to pave the way for peace and non-violence . Several reasons can be attributed

to the outbreak of crimes and non-violence . However , one of the most threatening reason is that the abuse of drugs and alcohol among children . In the United States of America , it has been reported that the abuse of drugs has been on the increase due to many reasons . It has become a headache for the police department of the country and finally with the cooperation of the government , the police department has constituted a program called Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D .A .R .E . `DARE ' is an international educational program which was founded by the police department of Los Angles in the United States of America in the year 1983 . The main intention behind for starting such program was to protect the school going students from involving in three major crimes such as addiction to drugs , becoming a member in gangs and having a violent behavior
