The Dracula
The Dracula Group A group may be defined as a number of individuals who join together and [remain] interdependent in some ways [in ] to achieve goals they are unable to achieve by themselves (Johnson Johnson . I agree strongly with this statement as I derive my value from my culture - African culture . In our culture , we depend on each other in a more collective manner . This is much different than European culture which embodies more individualistic traits . African culture is rooted in the belief that all our actions affect others . Therefore

, we do not make selfish decisions and , instead , think how our decisions effect other people . This is not only to achieve our own individual goals but also to make our society an enjoyable one to live in
An example of this is visible in our experience with the Saving the World from Dracula ' group assignment . After our introductions , I realized that I was the oldest person in our group (Some of the members were young enough to be my children ) I decided to do keep quiet and do the assignment on my own but I am not well versed in the Dracula mythos other than what I have seen on television . However , someone from the group ask for my opinion on their strategy . While they were all thinking about how to kill , capture , or nullify Dracula , they forgot about their own safety . I then asked them about giving thought about protecting ourselves
This made everyone think for a second . We then revised our game plan as a group . This proved to be the right move as we achieved a near perfect score . I felt a lot better after this experience as we bonded as a group . We now call each other up to discuss out academic situation as well as simply having a little coffee sometimes . This made me feel like I belong and I no longer feel like a stranger...
