The current century has witnessed a surge in terrorism activities internationally especially in the Middle East . However , domestic terrorism groups have declined compared to the past two decades which can be attributed to vigilant security system adopted by the Federal authority . However , U .S still faces terror attacks from outside with the 9 /11 bomb attack on the World Trade Center serving as the an example of the magnitude of the problem . In this essay

Introduction

Terrorism is a violent act committed by groups of persons against a given State or individuals in to achieve a given set of objectives such as political , social , religious and economic objectives . In America , acts of terrorism were rampant in the last two decades However , with the intensification of security and laws governing terrorism acts , domestic terrorism has significantly reduced compared to the last two decades . Some of the terrorism that existed in the U .S includes the Weatherman , Army of God , Ku Klux Klan , Animal liberation front among others . Comparing international terrorism groups with U .S domestic terrorism groups , they tend to forge a common tie .
