One of the most recent and vivid acts of terror is the 2001 September 11 attack on the World Trade Center 's Twin Towers in New York . Although the attack was towards the United States , the attackers sent a very clear message as to the great lengths that they are willing to go just to have their way and they do not care what the whole world would think of their deed
