Lord Acton said , Power corrupts , and absolute power corrupts absolutely . Power is needed to maintain peace and in the society . Powerful men who govern a territory use their authority to control its people and implement rules and regulations . But when power is absolutely given , there is a great possibility that they will only use power because they can . There will come a time that they will forget what power really is for . Just like a wine , when taken in moderation , it is good for the body . But when too much is taken , it

will intoxicate the person to the point of not meeting the real purpose of taking the wine

In relation to Conflict theory , which states that interests determine values and they place conflicts of interest in the centre of human societies . Also , they argue that the organized state does not represent common interests , but they represent the Powerful 's interests . This implies a war of two interests , the one with the greater power will prevail and the one with the less power will be stopped and be considered as what we call a criminal

Personally , I agree to with the Conflict theory to a certain extent only . Yes , it may be true that the Powerful 's interest will prevail against the one with less power . But let us not forget that today almost all countries are liberated and people are educated and are aware of their freedom . People tend to move and let their voices be heard...
