students , or the public or that can shut down business , disrupt operations , cause

physical or environmental

damage or that can threaten the institution 's financial

standing or public image (Iowa , 2005 . A critical incident , therefore has a large variety of forms , from little violent accidents to life-threatening natural calamities and bomb threats . In huge events such as the Olympics , it will pay to really focus on individual security and personnel coordination above everything else . Key vulnerabilities include the whole area /s where the event will be held , as well as the number of people who are either participating or witnessing the event and the cultural norms of the myriad people attending which need to be respected . There should be specific provisions to ensure the safety of human lives in events one way to do that besides careful preparation is keeping in touch with your men all the time .
