Community oriented policing and problem solving (COPPS ) is a balanced approach that reacts immediately to calls for police service with a proactive problem solving focus on the origin of the crime in the society .COPPS brings police and community together to work jointly and identify criminals using problem solving tactics and community police partnership .COPPS seeks to integrate officers into the local community in to reduce crimes and foster community relations (Microsoft Dictionary ,2008 .It brings the police and

general public together in providing solution to community problems . COPPS was established because in the reform period of 1930 's .Professional policing was not working out as policing was on the basis of crime control law as well as professionalism , being centralized and isolated .COPPS has become the new model of ensuring law and replacing the traditional military policing style
