Admission Essay It has been my desire from a young age to pursue a career as a professional pilot and join with a major airline company such as Delta My life has always revolved in some way around the world of aviation Growing up I spent my spare time reading technical books and building model and remote controlled airplanes . My father passed away when I was six and my mother has had to work two jobs to support us since then . For this reason , I was both surprised and overjoyed to receive my

first official flying lesson as a birthday present when I was 12 . The following summer , I went to Washington D .C . and visited the usual monuments and attractions , but found myself spending most of my time at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum . At the age of 14 , I was given the opportunity to complete an additional six flying lessons . Finances were tight and the lessons ended , but I found other ways to continue studying and learning as much as possible about the field of aviation . This past summer I even attended the Bridgewater State College Aviation Career Exploration program where I was given the opportunity to meet and speak with the Aviation Science department chair , Mr . Mike Farley . This was an amazing experience that furthered my interest in the aviation program at Bridgewater
