No human being would give his or her brain for an experiment . Rat 's brain has similar brain components as we humans have . The cortex consists of branches , nerve sells , and functional connections which in biology are called synapses . The thickness of the cortex is the main element . It tells us what all is happening to the complete structure . Cortex senses three things in broad terms . One senses action planning , the other sensory functions and the third area visual functions

In a female brain , the action planning area is more developed than males where as the visual is least developed . In males the action planning and visual area both develop at almost same level . In females , there is usually no difference between the thicknesses of the hemispheres layers of the two sides . On the other hand , the male cortex is not symmetrical or equal like that of a female brain

Another book by Penguin , says that male and female act and posses different characteristics due to biological reasons and neurological reasons . It is said that men are systemize-ers . They are better analysts . They could analyze a position or situation better than a female . Where as females are better empathizers . They can read a persons emotions and his or her emotional condition in a better way Better than a male . Baron-Cohen the author of the book says that these attitudes are not because of culture but because of biological reasons After these reasons became prominent , people started stereotyping

In pure bio terms men have around 4 more brain cells than females . Even with more brain cells , females have a better cellular connection .
