Dependency on Teachers during High School

A Reason why Students Fail in College

If college is the road to success , then high school is the stepping stone to it . High school , being the only level leading to college is always viewed as a preparative step , or a prerogative area for which the students get ready for their big entrance to adult life . But this view

can be seen literally by teachers , and the help they try to give to their students are sometimes too much that it can actually harm them

Dependency on anything is not always a good thing . Too much on the parents and the child will never learn how to live alone . Too much on drugs or medications and the body won 't be able to fight diseases with natural ways . And too much on a teacher and a student would be shocked and helpless

However , Donald would rather rely solely on his notes , and sometimes copy mine . He would just listen to the lecture and that 's the end of it

The different environments we experienced during our high school years affected our study habits . Donald became constantly pressured trying to keep up with the fast pace of the lessons . He began rushing his assignments , always asking for help , and got not so good marks on the first semester

I think that spoon-feeding is something that makes a student unable to work on his or her own . It deactivates the capacity to think critically and make choices seriously . And worse , it makes a college student act as if still on the wings of his parents and high school teachers . And as such , school administrators must take notice into the growing dependency trend on teachers . High school instructors are there to help...
