However there have always been individuals who have been considered different from the rest . These individuals have been respected and are looked in awe for their actions and are considered as people who have made an impact on society , on lives

and even on the hearts of people . These people are considered as `heroes people who have selflessly given up things of their liking and have sacrificed their lives , or their way of living or have risked themselves for others , with the sole purpose of helping someone out with out any personal selfish motives
When we take the example of the movie , `X-men , we can find the actual definition of heroism and also an answer to the question of who can be considered as a hero . In the movie , the world is divided into mutants and humans . Mutants are nothing but people with a different gene pool and they are like humans but with special powers . The concept of heroism comes under play when the thinking and actions of two powerful mutants , `Professor Charles Xavier ' and `Magneto ' is observed . The former though lost his ability to walk because of humans , hold no grudge against mankind and in fact wants peace to be manifested between the two races . On the other hand Magneto holds massive grudge against humans and believes that mutants and humans are going to have a war and its better to annihilate the humans Professor 's thinking makes him a hero not just because he doesn 't want to hurt people , what makes him a hero is that even being of the world 's strongest mutants , he doesn 't misuse his powers and is always in thinking of the welfare of both the races . In fact he goes to a level where he opens up a school , where mutant children are taken and are educated to control their powers . They are also taught on how not to misuse them on the innocent and weak . The basic way of defining a hero is someone who has the capacity of doing wrong and has the power to ignore wrong happenings around them , but chooses to select the right path and help people in distress by confronting issues which would require courage and as in most cases they would be doing this for complete strangers . Heroes don 't necessarily have to have super powers all they need is compassion and courage to take the lead against injustice and open their arms to help people . People like Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi , both were heroes of their own kind , who decided to give away their normal life for the betterment of people around them People who give away their lives on war fronts protecting their motherlands are heroes , the people...
