I have to come up with the necessary tools to develop the groundwork in readiness for our expansion plans in Kava . The first thing I have to do is identify the problem areas . Chris Morales has decided to push through his decision to increase investment . The challenges are daunting and are mainly posed by natural calamities , security issues , racial tensions and infrastructural problems . The task before me is to conduct

a study that will identify our strengths , weaknesses , opportunities and strengths (SWOT analysis . Eventually , I may come up with the best road map for our company
The company is a solid company . This means that it has the capability to raise finance for expansion into the island . Our reputation and corporate image makes us an attractive employer and consequently we will be able to attract the best brains in town . The labor resource advantage means that we will be able to develop a competitive edge over the competition . Chris has the determination to see his dream come true This will smoothen any hurdles that we would likely face . The company 's good relations with the government will enable us to negotiate concessions from them . This is especially so in the areas of employing expatriate staff and getting tax rebates on importation of capital goods . While at the negotiating table we should ask for tax breaks to help us recover the costs that we will incur in setting up . The considerable growth the company has seen in the last few years convinces us that we will be able to continue this trend as long as we remained focused . Our organizational capabilities are visible to those who we interact with . We should exploit this factor to the maximum and thus develop systems that can propel this company 's fortune further (Bezrukova , K . et al . 2002 ) The issue of natural calamities is something we have little control over . What we can control is the aftereffects The damaged infrastructure and the destruction of various other buildings and communication channels will need to be restored as soon as possible . In the tourism industry , we need to develop bunkers to keep our clients safe in times of calamities . The bunkers should be watertight and be able to house twice the capacity of those that can be accommodated in the rooms . This will enable us to cater for the staff and their families . This gesture will undoubtedly endear our workers to give us their best as they will perceive our concern for them . The company will have to invest in disaster response methods . This is so because it will need to be able to assist the government 's efforts to clear debris , rescue people and tourists as well as open up the communication channels as soon as possible to enable a semblance of normalcy to return as quickly as possible .
