This paper contains on how important leadership is in information management . Moreover , from two different articles , the things that a chief information officer must do and the skills that he must possess to be able to perform his job well are compared . It is also included here the opinion of the writer on the given real life situation tackling the information read in the previous readings and relating it to the article based on a real chief information officer 's experience

Information management is an important

matter for every company . It is important because it holds the data of a company or corporations . A chief information officer is a senior officer of an information technology department . He is responsible in every information that a company receive and releases . His main work is to gather , organize analyze and report the information . But sometimes the work of a chief information officer is being contested especially when mistakes are made . So , in the back of my mind , I was wondering if what was really the things to be done and the skills that a chief information must posses to handle his position well and become effective to be able to established a strong information system within the company and its associates
