that employees do not indulge into drugs and this means that they would not need health care benefits which reduce the business 's cost
Telephone Privacy
The Federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act prohibits tapping someone 's phone calls made from public BBS , but in an organization when an employee uses a company 's phone , the higher authorities have full right to listen to their telephone calls because the phone is not the employee 's personal property (Freibrun S . E ) It belongs to the business therefore all the activity that is done through it can be monitored . Besides , this is done for the benefit for the organization only and not for any personal satisfaction . Employee 's conversation with clients can be monitored in to ensure quality control (Privacy Rights ) To make it fair , the employees are told that the phone line can be monitored
Email Privacy
The case of email privacy is very controversial and is almost the same as telephone . When an employee is using an employer 's privately-owned internal e-mail system to send and receive emails , he must understand that the employer has a right over the activity that is done through them . The employees are also informed once they are registered with a business 's email address that they are not granted full privacy if the organization plans on monitoring the activity in future . They are told that the email address is only for business purposes . Why should he be then allowed to use company facilities for personal use

There are many fields where private life of employees is not too distant from their life as employees for a business . This is the reason why some management feels that it is important for them to know what their employees do after they get off from work . It is possible that an employee is passing our business secrets and in for the business to not give them away , it has to make sure that an eye is kept upon the employees . If for example , a certain blog by an employee becomes responsible for unrest and discontent at work , the employees responsible needs to be held accountable
