But when people hear the word hospice , they pity the ones who are there and they feel no fear for themselves . A big difference between a hospice and a hospital is that in a

hospice , people expect you to come out dead while in a hospital , people expect you to come out alive
Hospitals are made to cure people 's diseases and injuries . People in this place are usually doctors and nurses who are trained to focus on the physical state of a patient . Their goal is to keep their patients alive . They are equipped with knowledge about the human anatomy so that they know what parts are in bad function
However , people in a hospice are usually nurses , caregivers , and psychologists . People go or are sent to a hospice because they know that there is no cure for their disease and they will die eventually . This is why psychologists are there to keep them in good mood and to let them gain emotional stability . Caregivers , unlike doctors and nurses who cure , accompany patients in their daily activities to let them feel that they are not alone and someone is there to take good care of them
It is true that hospices and hospitals have different perspectives in life . One is doing everything to keep a human alive while the other is doing everything to keep a human from despair before he /she dies . People in the hospital believe that a disease must always be cured while people in a hospice believes that if there is no cure , make a patient spiritually and emotionally ready in facing his /her fate
