Arthur Miller 's play entitled Death of a Salesman ' introduces the character of Willie Lohman who is a volunteer and a victim at the same time . He was the one who bring troubles to himself and made him a victim of his own decisions

The genre of the play is Tragedy . The play 's main protagonist , Willie Lohman , is a middle class salesman with a wife and two sons . During the play , flashbacks can be seen of Willie having good relationships

with his sons and Willie being in the prime of his life and considering himself as a successful businessman who is well-liked by his customers Willie is a man 's man since he knows how to handle tools and he is interested in sports and has influenced his two sons , Biff and Happy into getting into sports of to become athletic and physically well-built . During the flashbacks in the play , Willie considers himself to be a person that has a charming personality and good looks and that he believes that these charm and good looks will make his sons successful in life as well . Willie I a volunteer since he teaches his sons the value of good charisma and of good physical health which are factors to become successful in life .
