Running Head : ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR Organizational Behavior Name of Student School Professor Subject According to Debra Lamb-Deans of the ILR School of Cornell University (2006 , Organizational Behavior is the study of individuals along with their behavior in an organizational workplace . Its field stretches over other fields such as communication , management , psychology and sociology Simultaneously , Donald Clark also mentioned that Organizational Behavior pertains to the groups acting within the organization . There are certain behaviors that are applicable to individuals and groups , which have an inevitable effect to the whole

efficiency of the organization . It also involves the relationships among these individuals , as well as their objectives as individuals and as members of the structure of the organization
It is important to analyze and understand organization behavior because its nature largely involves the function and efficiency of the organization . Organizations are built by its employees on top of capital , supply , and equipment . But what run the organization are its employees . Without employees , nobody makes use of the capital or equipment to produce profit
However , putting employees and capital together does not simply allow the organization to function . Since each individual is unique from each other , the diversity of these employees can either break or make the organization . It can produce greater problems than perceived . But when top management members or even the owners know the behavior of their employees , then they would be able to find ways to improve their organization
The employees make up the whole organization . To know one 's employees is to know their organization . If there are any changes to be made , the appropriate means of doing so will be based on the behavior of the organization . To implement changes that do not fit the nature of the employees is only asking for more problems . So it is really important to know and understand organizational behavior
