Introduction

Adolescence is a critical transitional stage of mental and physical development in human beings . Adolescents are faced with many issues at this stage , most of which occur during pubertal changes (Golden et al 2003 . Some pubertal changes may impose fear among some adolescents whereas some adolescents may become violent during this stage (Golden et al , 2003

. In addition , psychological and biological or physiological coupled with societal backgrounds have a great influence on adolescents behavior . In general , adolescents will be faced with one issue or another from the beginning to the end of this critical stage (Golden et al , 2003

This gives an account of the issues related to adolescence particularly those that involve changes in physique and behavior . It is evident that change in behavior among adolescents may result into indulgence in vices such as drug abuse , violence , and so on Nevertheless , many researchers have reported many issues facing adolescents .
