Sexuality and gender issues continue to prevail in the contemporary society . Many continue to fight for equality among genders . Views regarding the concepts of sexuality and gender differ among cultures across the world . Essentially , sexuality categorizes people according to their physiological features , being male or female . Gender , on the other hand , refers to the behavioral and psychological characteristics of a person , being a

man or a woman . Maleness or femaleness has already been decided even before birth . In contrast , being a man or a woman is shaped differently according to the environment and the culture that operates within the society . This is one of the reasons why being a man or a woman entails different behaviors expected from one culture to another Culture plays an important role in sexuality and gender . Culture of society defines attitudes and behaviors in relation to gender . Men and women perform and act different roles and responsibilities as dictated by their culture and determined how they were brought up . This paper will discuss culture influences on sexuality and gender issues and will examine similarities and differences of cultures of Korea and of Nigeria that influences sexuality and gender
