A Study on the Cultural Diversity of Nestly Corporation , China Dissertation by Cary M L Lee Project submitted to Leicester University to fulfill the requirements for the degree of Master of Business Administration Abstract Cultural diversity pertains to individual differences emanating from varying traits and experiences (Hampden-Turner Trompenaars 1998 , br 8 . The current trend among multinational organizations is their capacity to have and maintain a culturally diverse workforce . The study aims to know up to what extend does Nestly regard the importance of cultural diversity in its corporate culture

in their Chinese office . In to attain this , the study adopted the Quantitative Tradition of research using Surveys on a 5-point Likert Type Scale . The study administered the survey to 100 respondents in Nestly Corporation China among rank and and junior management employees
The study found out that Nestly Corporation China has a diverse workforce based on the ratio between male (56 ) and female (44 workers , number of ethnic minorities (30 ) and religiously diverse workforce . There is however a small number of foreign workers (16 ) and workers with disability (10
Majority of the respondents agree that the company has a diverse workforce in terms of its management and rank and employees and has been very successful in terms of maintaining respect in personal differences , cultural differences and universal differences of entire working population

Cultural diversity is another marketing trend that international organizations have been working and focusing at in to not only promote respect for all people regardless of ethnicity , gender , race and orientation , but also to significantly tap on the highly unique and specialized skill that every worker possesses . The country , highly known for its cost effective labor and very diverse product pool has created a mark within the international market . As such , it could be seen that the trend of Chinese people going to the West , and the likes has slowly being changed . As of present , one can see that a number of Western investors are going to China . In addition with these , a lot of companies within the West have also been outsourcing to the aforementioned due to its relatively cheap labor . Not only this , a number of foreign workers are also seeking employment in China- Americans , African-Americans , British and a significant number of its Asian neighbors as well .
