The pro-side is of the opinion that the individuals by themselves have a right to make their own informed decisions and that should be respected regardless of the situation , basically the individual 's autonomy should come first . The individual therefore must be left to make his choice without coercion or undue influence . They infact may be I in a competent shape of mind and may have their own valid reasons for refusing treatment
