Role of scenario based planning and training in arena of criminal justice

Long term plans can be implemented through scenario planning and training . In arena of criminal justice these plans are very important since they help to impose ruling and formulation of law and to the followed by everyone

These plans play a very important role in different departments such as correction , law enforcement and probation departments . One of the major sections where it applies is

in counseling session . Scenario-based planning and training enables that plans are laid down which must be followed during counseling and also the counselor should be adequately trained to enable good guidance during counseling . This mainly applies in correction department where those who are being corrected are guided on areas which they should correct their wrong doings (John J .Githrie1998

Scenario-based planning also identifies critical operational points This enables sharing of information between two or more agencies . For example , in law enforcement department these operational points can be applied to ensure that the information given from one side matches with that of the other side and this enables implementation of plans used for ruling incase of law breaking

Planning also helps to push for full arrest with these plans laid down full arrest can be enabled by following them since they are constant and are able to be followed at all time . Scenario planning uplifts the standards of an institution since the laid down plans can enable the manager to work at ease saving time since plans are already laid down they only need to be followed . When there are no protocols to follow in an institution , it can lead to downfall of the institution since a lot of time is spent in laying down those plans Since scenario planning results to long term plans they are critically very important in management

They also help newly employed security officers in carrying out their duties . This ensures that the newly employed officers ' takes little time to catch up with departmental management since they just follow the plans laid down and therefore they can operate at ease without facing problems in their new departments (Larry J .Siegel 2006
