Baseball is a game that originated from older versions of ball and bat games which were being played in England in the mid-eighteenth century It was then spread to other countries by the British and Irish settlers In the 1850 's , the New York metropolitan area developed baseball craze This is when the game turned professional . Baseball is a ball and bat sport that is played between two teams each one consisting

of nine players . The goal is normally scored by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four bases arranged at the corners of a ninety foot square or diamond . Many people today would prefer to watch sports games on the Television however this makes them miss out on several things which one can only encounter through being in the scene . This has been controversial because there are cognitive analysts who say that other methods of following a game such as through the radio can allow the fan to imagine and create imagery of the real scene from the description of events and still end up enjoying the game (Dan 2-4 .
